The trek from Kumta to Gokarna beach is a 20 km long hike between two towns in the Uttara Kannada district – with the same names – Kumta and Gokarna. Ended 2018 with the awesome Kumta-Gokarna beach trek.We covered more than 10 pristine beaches , a walk of approx 15kms in 2 days. We are available 24x5 Mon-Fri Beach hopping all the way to Gokarna. But most trekkers prefer starting from Kumta. The trek started at Kumta beach, and oh the sight which met the eyes was unlike anything else. My pickup from Shantala Silks was at 8:30 pm, and I reached back from office at 6:45. The Kumta to Gokarna beach trek sounded interesting enough on paper. But I still had some reservations though. After an extremely tiring week at the office and career confusions in mind; the sight in front of me, the noise of sea waves and the feel of sand on naked feet just shut off every other voice around, even the one in my mind. End the trek at Gokarna, which is home to a famous Shiva Temple. This trek starts from Kumta beach and goes all the way up to Gokarna or the other way round. Start the trail at Kumta, walk through Vannali Beach, Kadle Beach, Nirvana Beach, Paradise Beach, Half-Moon Beach and Om Beach to name a few. And just at the last moment I decided to count me in. Most are untouched by regular tourists and only shelter few shacks for beach lovers. Kumta to Gokarna Trek is one of a traveler dream.
